Scryer is 3 1/2 years old and a wonderful lab mix...all the fun without the hyper behaviors. He's also at a great age to work with although he's had some basic training and is generally very, very well behaved.
Even though he's mostly lab, Scryer can be a very mellow boy and lay by your side while you work all day long or be active and out-doorsy and a great hiking companion. He loves to play with balls and other toys and he'll even play with toys on his own.
Scryer has such a great temperament that he'd make a wonderful therapy dog for those interested in pursuing this very rewarding activity. Scryer could easily bring joy to children and adults hospitalized or in nursing homes.
Scryer does not do well with other male dogs although he can be fine with some other dogs. It's a little tricky to predict this. Scryer is good with cats and children. Scryer used to sleep on a bed with a cat curled up against him.
Scryer has a habit that reflects some behaviors that I call very intuitive behaviors. I think that Scryer has incredible instincts that may well save someone someday. For example, he will place himself between his owner and a stranger. A very subtle protective move. I've watched Scryer place himself between me and a dog that was jumping up on me. When he's away from the ones he loves, he cries.
Scryer has already had more homes than any dog should. He's landed in a shelter twice. We are looking for a true forever home for Scryer who deserves the best humans have to offer such a brave, cuddly, loving, and gallant boy.
